Live set from here at the station on 2018-09-16. Somehow I forgot to record the original broadcast of this set. But, I had the track list; so, I re-recorded it another day. Sadly, I was doing (real, non-DJ) work while re-recording, so a couple of the transitions are sub-optimal. Still, I liked (most of) the song selection, so it’s worth re-recording – & I still think it’s worth listening to. Tracklist is at the Mixcloud posting for this set.

Mix recorded live here at the station on 2018 Sep 09 – my 75th show here! I recently had a chance to both spin tunes & go dancing at a fun event. I was (am) still in a mood for that when I did this set. So it trends a bit more towards danceable music than background deep house. I note that I got to stand behind the legendary Carl Cox in the DJ booth for some time at the recent event. Watching how he worked the equipment taught me somethings I wasn’t doing before, that I’m now trying to incorporate into my technique. I think I’m better for it.   To all that ones who do all the things in life with love, dedication, effort, against all odds, because they put his soul, body and mind before money. To all that ones that choose the path of art, in any kind of expression, and they create following his own nature, apart from market tendences, critics, competitors, fame, glory, richness and all the selfie shit cullture. Things must come from the bones, just because you are expresing trough art your own soul. In the golden hour, in relax and calm, chilling with the wine glasses, the smiles, the confessions, in the hit of the evening, with the salt from the sea still over your skin.   There was a time, just like 20 years ago, that I’d started to travel to Algarve attracted by the high level in quality of the musical scene in House music, and I’d discover also the large Brotherhood of dj’s in that moments when in House Music people in the dance floor and dj’s were at the same level of importance, respect and knowledge. None of you as any clue about my feelings every time I’d travel back home, with tears in my eyes after the warming friendship of people and friends, the out of this world beaches and places, the incredible clubs and parties, like leaving a dream to go back to reality. So now I have the chance to give back my gratitude to this land that was the paradise of the House scene in Europe during years, for a large number of reasons that only knows who knows about House Music. I am very proud to contribute in this special venue at Pedras Amarelas to put the soundtrack to an amazing afternoon and sunset, under the blue sky of Algarve, in one of the nicest beaches of this side of the atlantic coast, with a collection of old tracks, new remixes and new Soulful weapons, surrounded by friends in a perfect summer beach day with this 4 hours Soulful and Deep House mix. So much thanks to Helder Fragoso for the support, to Hernani Sousa and Dj China for trust in me, true masters in House music, and to Joao Pedro, Alicia, Rosario and all the friends there that enjoyed the show. So in every track is a very big THANKS to all hat ones that build the Golden Days, and to the young ones to show how it was. Obrigado por todo de coração.

  Miguel Rocha China with Gil Abrantes Sax live set at Pedras Amarelas Full Moon Party. Unforgettable moments under the light of the moon in a magic night hosted by Underground Party Society. End of the party with Dj China, So much thanks to Cristovao Mestre Mastercris, the big support from Helena Isabel from Raveolutions Algarve, Helder Fragoso for make it possible, and all that ones who spend this cosmic event with us.    

  So this was the start of the Belize Boat Party by Algar Experience, doing the warm up for the great Dj China, with some big room tunes for a wonderful travel around the portuguese coast. So much thanks to all the crew, to Up Society, Dj China & Hernani Sousa for the production, coordination and make it happens and all the people there who enjoyed a magnific summer sunset at the sea. Jus before jump into Pedras Amarelas Full Moon party, a great time to taste the summer wind and the clean waters in an unforgettable journey. An experience that you need to live in your visit to a Paradise called Algarve.
