Why is God’s Strength Made Perfect in Our Weakness?

As the Church of Jesus Christ we must be very careful not to bow down to the spirits of this age. The Lord will come to His Church and ask us to follow Him and He will lead us outside the party system of this society and save us from fear and intimidation. When you choose not to bow to the spirit of this age and you are thrown in a fiery furnace you will see that Jesus is in there with you! The only thing that will burn in the fire is that which binds you. We are being tried in the fire for a great purpose. Hold on you will see the fourth man in the fire- Jesus, the Son of God!

This message is a wakeup call for those who started out with a passionate whole-hearted trust in God and are now beginning to move from walking in the spirit to walking in the flesh. You can cut off the source of the strength of God by coming to church and worshipping God even though you know clearly that you are doing something God told you not to do. Be careful of the mindset that thinks you can do whatever you want in spite of God is telling you to do, and thinking you will not be held accountable for it. When your faith is tested on the altar beware of turning from walking in the spirit to walking in human reasoning. You do not have to finish poorly. God is drawing us back into His Word and calling us to lay down our lives as a living sacrifice. Today is the day to put away all that would hinder your walk with the Lord. Stay in God’s presence until you heart burns again for the Word of God.

We are not to despise the chastening of the Lord. There is no one who escapes the Lord's correction and discipline. It is important not to faint or give way to the enemy when we are in a season of chastening. God will cause us to endure so we don’t break relationship with Him. This message reminds us not to just listen to God but to do what He is asking us to do. The power to obey comes from our love relationship with the Father. He is patient with us until His will becomes our will and we get back on track with Him. Always keep this truth in your heart, “whom the Lord loves He chastens”.

We live in a time that makes it so easy to be fearful. Day after day we are inundated with statistics that bring fear to our heart. In these last days God will do such a profound work in our hearts that fear will lose its power. You might ask the question how will God keep us from giving into the power of fear? We must understand His love brings incredible hope and power into our hearts. God will bring us to the full understanding that He loves us with a perfect love. His love for the genuine believer will give us an incredible security about the future. God's love covers and empowers us to join Him in His redemptive purposes. By faith, receive the incredible love of God and allow His love to flow through you to those around you.

This message is for those who are discouraged and feel like giving up. God cares for you more than anyone in this world. He is a loving and forgiving Father. Don’t listen to the devil’s lies. Run into the arms your heavenly Father. Jesus died on the cross for you He will fight all your battles and break every bondage. Open your heart and put your trust in Jesus and He will set you free.

True Christian liberty comes when we can celebrate the fact that we are free and at the same time allow the Holy Spirit to search our hearts and convict us. When true conviction comes, the enemy will twist the conviction into condemnation. The best way to deal with Holy Ghost conviction and protect yourself from the lie of the devil is too embrace the Lord as tightly as you can. The next time you get convicted look into the face of Jesus and you will see His great love and acceptance and you will understand Jesus is hard on sin not on sinners.

No one knows what 2011 will brings us. All of us will go through situations we haven't thought about; some for tragedy and some for miracles. The truth of the matter is the people who go through trouble will end up in a better position than the people who are seemingly blessed because when hard times come it gives us an awareness of our need for God. In the parable of the ten virgins half of them thought they were ready for Jesus and they weren't. If Jesus Christ came today would you be ready? In the beginning of this new year examine yourself and make sure you are ready. It is imperative to get right with Jesus.

There is a liberating power when we choose to acknowledge Christ's victory in the midst of our struggle and trial. If in the midst of your suffering you choose to worship God your song will affect those around you and deliverance will come both to you and them. In God's economy He has already determined to deliver you. The question is, “Are you willing to pull others out with you? What kind of song is sung that makes prison doors open and breaks the bounds of those who are held captive? It is the song that you sing through the midst of your darkness that will catch the attention of those around you who don't know Jesus. Prayer and praise break the foundation of the prison and silences the voice of the enemy. It is time to praise God!

The Father is seeking those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. If you want to worship Him you must have His Spirit in you and upon you. The Holy Spirit takes us to the throne room where the impossible becomes possible. Jesus comes to us and wants to satisfy the deepest thirst in our heart. If you love truth and have a desire for the knowledge of Christ, Jesus will come to you and bring you living water that will revive your soul. Don't let your questions and imperfect understanding of God rob you from what He has for you. You might be struggling and find yourself in a season of failure but this message reminds us that in the midst of our struggle the Father is still seeking after you. Jesus knows everything about you and yet He tells you that the Father is still seeking after you to turn you into true worshippers. When we begin to worship God our life becomes unstoppable. We can have as much of Jesus as we want, so don’t give up!
