Summary: We are tired of Islam being exploited and misinterpreted by radicals, Islamophobes, and so called "experts." Too many times have we seen Islam being associated with violence, terrorism, and a way of life that is seen as barbaric, backwards, and at odds with modernity in the news and print media. We decided to take matters into our own hands by developing our own billboard, magazine, TV, and radio Ad campaigns to present Islam in its true light. Love, compassion, mercy, unity, modesty, truth - these are just some of the ingredients that make our faith. MeccaOne Radio has been broadcasting since May of 2002. We broadcast every Thursday between 5-6pm on 90.5FM KSJS, San Jose, CA and reach 22,000 weekly Muslim and non-Muslim listeners. We also broadcast live world-wide over the internet and operate our Podcast via RSS feed and iTunes. Past guests on MeccaOne include Robert Fisk, Zakir Naik, Peter Sanders, Bilal Phillips, and many others. To learn more about us or our projects, visit us on the web at: www.meccaone.org

In each of our lives, our Emaan (firmness of faith) can vary in different levels. It goes from its highest peak, when things seem as if they couldn’t be better, to times when we feel down-in-the-dumps, at an all-time low. It is an aspect of our religion that we all should anticipate at one point or another, and it is something we should also prepare ourselves for. By understanding and acknowledging Eman (firmness of faith), we will ready ourselves for our own inner struggle when the time comes. It will give us strength, endurance and patience to ride out the storm. So then...Where Is Our Emaan? Tune in and find out!

"These resonating questions have been posed to me, perhaps hundreds of times, since the unforgettable decision I made in the summer of 1994. Many question the reasons behind why a Caucasian, Catholic, middle-class, nineteen-year-old American would convert to such a “strange and mysterious” religion as Islam. These inquiries are all the more pertinent considering that this young man was born and raised in the West during the later part of the 20th century, in a world that is increasingly more hostile to, and abusive of, the sacred." - Christopher ‘Khalil’ Moore
