 Minimeteo (review) | File Type: video/x-m4v | Duration: 5:39

Minimeteo is a beautiful weather application that will appeal to the minimalist. You can view weather in either Cº or  Fº. You can add your favorite cities or search cities you may soon be visiting to look up the 6 day forecast. Minimeteo uses the iPad's built in location to gather your current location to deliver your local weather. The app is beautiful but it does have a few bugs that I have noticed: 1. My local city is off by about 10 miles, it has my location as the neighboring city and there is no way for me to change my local city 2. The weather is off a few degrees and I have noticed it off by as much as 18º at one point My hope is that the developer can add a few options to the app that will allow me to change my location, also allow me to refresh the app to pull up the current weather. I believe the reason the weather is off is because the app has not refreshed or updated the current weather information. To the developer's credit he does mention on his website that future updates are coming. I really hope so because this app has a lot of potential. Features: ● Local weather conditions ● Current, minimum and maximum temperature – Both in C° and F° ● Weather forecast for next 3 – 6 and 9 hours ● Climate conditions forecast for the next 6 days ● Trustable time of dawn and sunset ● General humidity percentage ● Time and date for both local and custom locations   Minimeteo is $1.99 in the app store, you can download it here:   Developer's Website

Blind Ninja is a fun, addicting swiping/slashing type game for iOS devices. It is a universal application that will run on the iPad, iPhone and the iPod Touch. Currently the application is $0.99 in the App Store.  30/30 for iPad (Review) | File Type: video/x-m4v | Duration: 5:49

30/30 is a colorful time management application for iOS devices. It is a universal application that will run on both the iPad and the iPhone. What makes the 30/30 gesture driven app so unique even more so than the minimalist approach to the design or even the fantastic 8bit timer and alert tones has to be the price structure. The app is free to download and use as much as you want and you never have to pay a cent, but the app includes in-app purchases that is basically a donation for the application, "Pay What You Want".  The app does not have that many settings, the settings that it does have include: on/off toggles for brightness, vibrate on alert, sounds, and push notifications. You can set your timer up to 6o minutes, the app is called 30/30 because it is meant for you to work on something for 30 minutes then rest for 30 minutes. This is a fantastic application and I have downloaded it not only on my iPad but on my iPhone as well. Features: The gesture-based interface is completely free of buttons and clutter. Fully customizable task list: label, time, icon and color. Virtually unlimited number of tasks: over 10 days without repeating! Options let you control how you are notified.   30/30 is a free application, you can download it here: 30/30 - Binary Hammer Updated: Developers Website

Ripping DVDs to your iPad | File Type: video/x-m4v | Duration: 6:08

Ripping your DVD movies onto your Mac, iPhone or iPad has never been easier. For me Ripit makes this all possible. RipIt is a paid application for your Mac, RipIt cost $24.95 but you can try it first before buying. The trial version will give you 10 DVD rips before deciding to purchase. Take my word for it, no need for the trial go ahead and buy it. I have tried quite a few other DVD ripping applications on the Mac and there are some other great apps but RipIt is the easiest to use. After installing RipIt, it is a 3 step process to rip the movies and get them onto your iPad: Insert DVD Press Compress button Sync video to your iPad RipIt Quick Start Guide RipIt Help Center HandBrake

Ski Safari (Review) | File Type: video/x-m4v | Duration: 4:18

Ski Safari is a fun skiing game for iOS devices with very simple controls, tap on the right side of the screen to jump, hold the right side to do a back flip, tap repeatedly to stand up after a wipe out. The object is simple, collect coins, do ski jumps and ride on the back of penguins or Yeti monsters. This game is very fun and should be easy for all ages. It does get repetitive after a bit but still a 5 star game that will keep you busy for a while. Download: Ski Safari - Defiant Development Developer Website

 Quip (Review) | File Type: video/x-m4v | Duration: 7:37

Quip is a beautiful Twitter client for the iPad, it is $0.99 in the app store and worth every penny! With the tap of a finger you can expand conversations from Twitter and read the entire thread. It is missing a few notable features such as list, auto-refresh and mute filters. It is a nice compliment to Tweetbot. Features: tweets that are part of a conversation. Retweets: tweets that have been retweeted 5+, 10+, 20+ or 50+ times. Images: tweets that have images included. Download Link: Quip - Glasshouse Apps Developers Website

Mr. Reader for iPad | File Type: video/x-m4v | Duration: 10:43

I have been a long time Reeder app user on my iPad. I have used it for over a year now and it is a great little app. Two things really bugged me though. 1). I had to buy it twice (iPad and iPhone) as it is not a universal app. I really don't have a problem supporting other developers, but universal apps are a must nowadays. I also own it on my Mac so that makes it 3 times, but I do not expect to pay once and have it work between iOS and OS X. 2). It does not sync between the iPhone and iPad, this should not be a problem with iCloud now available. The Reeder app should be updated with these features. So I went searching for a new RSS app that has them and found Mr. Reader by Oliver Fürniß Mr. Reader is a beautiful app that has all features that Reeder is missing, one of my favorite features is sending stories to Evernote, it sends the entire article not just the link which is worth it's weight in Gold. I can now use Evernote as an Instapaper type app where is just post the article automatically. No work to be done on my end. Currently Mr. Reader is only available on the iPad and it cost $3.99. You can download it here:

Xfinity TV (Review) | File Type: video/quicktime | Duration: Unknown

Xfinity TV app for iPad is a great app for watching your paid Comcast channels on your iPad, on the go. I do notice some lagginess occasionally,  as well as the audio not matching the video sometimes and I have to restart the app to fix it, the app will resume where I left off though.  Topps Pennant (Review) | File Type: video/quicktime | Duration: Unknown

Topps Pennant is an app for the diehard baseball fan. You can statistically track every box score in the majors from 1952. It auto updates each day to give you up to the day box scores from current games. I love this app, it is one of my favorite baseball app on the iPad. I highly recommend it for any baseball fan. It is currently $0.991 and is a universal app for both iPad and iPhone. With Topps Pennant, you can: • Chart your favorite Major League team's performance and how they stacked up in the league from the current season back to 1952 • Relive your favorite baseball memories such as your first game, the games played on the day you were born, the game when you met your favorite player, and more • Debate and solve questions around key historical moments • Check out box scores and play-by-play for all of last night’s games in the 2012 MLB season   You can download Pennant from the App Store here: Topps Pennant - The Topps Company, Inc. 1: I recorded this video when the app was launched and uploaded it on my other review site, I just decided to bring it to Total iPad, the price I mentioned in the video was the price of the app at the time.

Instacast HD (Review) | File Type: video/quicktime | Duration: Unknown

Instacast HD is an iPad/iPhone podcatcher or podcast application. It is not a universal application so you will have to purchase for both your iPad and iPhone if you have both or want it on both devices. I personally only use it on my iPad currently. It is a very minimalistic in design and works great. I also reviewed Downcast and in my opinion you can't go wrong with either app.     DOWNLOAD: iPad Instacast HD - Vemedio iPhone Instacast - Vemedio
