Many times we come to God with our petitions and needs. But the very thing thing that can help us is to first give God thanks. Thankfulness can provide what you don't have and even more! Be thankful for what He will do! John 2, 11; Matthew 15

Why do we praise God? God is all powerful, but He is also as close as the mention of His name. He can heal a broken heart, help and provide for us, and give us love we need so much. He is so worthy of praise every day. Psalm 147:1-5

God is interested in every decision in our lives. Every day we are presented with a number of decisions. In 2014, let's ask God to direct our paths. Let's learn from David and seek God's will. 1 Sam 23

Though the world may look to the rich and famous for what they call great, we have another standard. Christ is great! Those who serve Him are great! Let God lead you and have a truly Great Christmas this year! Luke 1:26- 38

Jesus wants us to give Him everything. Give Jesus your past, give Jesus your future, and give Jesus today. He has a beautiful plan for your life. Luke 1:26-33

When God touches something, it has power. When you feel like you have no more resources, you still have an all-powerful God. No matter what others may have or what the situation looks like, God answers prayer! 1 Kings 1

Many times we crowd Jesus out of our lives by the things surrounding us. It's easy to get distracted during the holidays, but the real reason for Christmas is to celebrate the birth of a savior and the gift He has given us. Matthew 2

Just as the Wise Men gave three gifts to Jesus, we can give three gifts today. We need to give Jesus our past, our future and most important, we need to give him our today. Matthew 2:1-12

Jesus was from the lineage of both Abraham and David. While Abraham was the father of those who believe, we put our faith in the Lord and Savior Jesus. And while David was the king of Israel, Jesus is the King of kings who will shepherd us. Matthew 1:1

The only way we can go through the trials of circumstances and hardships with others is by the power of the Holy Spirit. He will give us endurance in situations, patience with people and joy even during the trial. Colossians 1:9-12

Even Apollos in the Book of Acts set himself to learn more about the Lord. When we open our hearts and are teachable, God will help us to grow more and more. Today, trust that God has more for your life. Acts 18:18- 19:7; Proverbs 12:1

Man looks at the outer appearance, but the Lord sees the heart and gives us purpose. Though we may not appear to be qualified, God has a plan for your life and will equip you for His purpose. Trust Him to work in your life. 1 Samuel 8:19-9:2; 16:1-3

God lead Luke to record Paul's travels and movements in precise detail. Paul was sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit as to where he should go. One of Paul's accomplishments was to encourage believers in their faith. Acts 18:18-23

Sometimes unanswered prayer can actually be God's mercy toward us. Even in our most painful moments, God still wants us to hear His voice. His voice is not a voice of fear, but of peace. 1 Kings 19

It is the Lord alone that should direct our paths. Even when times of trouble come, let's look to Jesus who will guide us toward His will for our lives. Trust Him today! Acts 18:1-11
