As UNC prepares for its season finale against NC State this Saturday, football recruiting is beginng to pick up the pace after being in a bit of a downswing over the past month. Over this past weekend, Carolina received an official visit from four star in-state QB Sam Howell, whose current commitment to Florida State may be wavering. The Tar Heels have remained in constant contact with Howell, and the fact that his first official visit was to Chapel Hill has given UNC fans hope that he might ultimately select the Heels for his college decision. Apart from the recent update on Howell, Don Callahan also gives a brief preview on some of the recruits that are planning to be in Chapel Hill for the UNC vs NC State matchup, which could end up being one of the most important recruiting weekends of the entire season.

With only two games left in the 2018 season, Carolina finds itself in desperate need for victories as the year comes to a close. This week the Tar Heels face off against yet another intra-state opponent, as the Western Carolina Catamounts travel to Chapel Hill in what should be, on paper at least, a game that UNC will win. The Heels are currently favored by over 30 points against WCU, and with next week's game being against rival NC State, this is an ideal opportunity for Carolina to garner some momentum heading into their season finale. Mike Ingersoll, Taylor Vippolis, and E.J. Wilson join host Jon Seiglie to give their thoughts on the WCU matchup, and discuss the potential ramifications this game might have for the upcoming clash with NC State.

With Carolina's 2018 season coming to a close in two weeks, the UNC coaching staff will soon be able to turn their full attention towards the December recruiting period. While the season finale against NC State will arguably be the most important recruiting weekend of the season, this week's matchup against Western Carolina University will see only a few recruits make it to Chapel Hill for that game. With Carolina and Duke set to face each other this Saturday on the football field, Inside Carolina's E.J. Wilson and Mike Ingersoll join host Jon Seiglie to give their perspective on this important rivalry game. Both Wilson and Ingersoll were undefeated against the Blue Devils during their collegiant careers, so UNC's recent slide against Duke has been especially concerning for the duo. They discuss what the Heels must do this Saturday to ensure that that trend is reversed, while also sharing some memories from the times they faced off against the darker shade of blue.
