Kai got interested in a dimensional, light sculpture and found himself working on materials like paper. He says the Finnish advertising has been influenced by Japanese graphic design.

Kai started as a sign-painter and a calligrapher. He has done some fonts based on a Finnish tradition, mostly in order to teach his students! Kai is fascinated in discovering old, forgotten fonts around Europe.
