Tune in for an honest discussion about the world of real estate from an insiders view. The latest news, events and policies will be discussed but always with an eye toward what that means to buyers, sellers, investors and property owners. There will also be plenty of discussion about how real estate agents can do things better, so all you agents out there that want to really serve the needs of your clients, tune in! You can also expect the subject of politics coming up from time to time.
This week we are trying to gather together all the various elements and news that are likely to be pushing the real estate market one way or another over the next 6 months to a year. Unemployment, retail, foreclosures, shadow inventory... it all will play a part in our market and we will try to figure out how that will effect the world of real estate. Also, we will talk about all these delayed foreclosures. Has it been a good thing or a bad thing?
My inside source has gotten in touch and we have more to share on the move at Bank of America to convert some borrowers into tenants. We will re-examine the motives here and try to think through what makes sense.
The EPA and Sacketts got their time before the Supreme Court and the Sacketts won! This is a huge victory for homeowners who might someday find themselves being harrassed not only by the EPA, but any other government agency claiming that they can stop you from using your land and that you have no right to legally challenge what they do. Also, some talk of taxation, budgets and what some are calling a "Gold Rush" for wall street in foreclosed homes.
In honor of the release of the new iPad, we will discuss what good technology is out there for folks looking to buy, sell or invest in real estate. We will also spend some time talking about how Fannie and Freddie look like they are creating an apartment bubble. How to qualify for the streamlined FHA refi program. We also check in with the REO to rental program. Also, we discuss a 14 year old landlord in Florida!
We will spend some time in todays show talking about the case of Sackett vs EPA. This is a shocking (and all too common) case of the EPA being able to intimidate property owners at their whim. If you really never gave much thought to why so many people bring up the idea that the EPA should be closed down, this story will make it clear.
Manie has visited us on Real Estate Realities before. He is a man with special insights into the world of real estate marketing. If you are a seller considering entering the market this year, then this show and what Manie has to share with us could be the difference between getting what you need and having to settle for far less. Make sure to tune in and join the conversation!
I had an interesting chat with my inside man on the whole Bank Of America short sale program. I think you will be as surprised as I was to hear what they are up to now! The conversation also took in issues like foreclosures and what might be coming. Lots of interesting things to discuss in this area, so make sure and tune in!
