Paul Jaminet: Safe Starches, Fecal Transplants, and Good News for Wine Lovers

The Fat-Burning Man Show by Abel James. Paleo Nutrition, Ancestral Health, and Primal Fitness show

Summary: Today's show is with the brilliant Paul Jaminet, author of The Perfect Health Diet and perfecthealthdiet.com. After having Paul on the show a few months ago, I was happy to touch upon some of the cheekier topics this time around, including the health benefits of drinking, why eating white rice won't kill you, and, of course, fecal transplants. Now, if I had to recommend one book on optimizing your health, The Perfect Health Diet is it. In fact, my nutritional strategy (The Wild Diet) is actually closer to the Perfect Health Diet than it is to Paleo/Primal. This is required reading, folks. Paul's content is tirelessly researched and his nutritional approach is balanced, reasonable, and easy to implement into your life. Last Sunday, I was chillaxing and watching football when I opened this bomb from Apple: Subject: iTunes Store Podcast Rejected Notification Dear podcast owner, The following podcast has not been included in the iTunes podcast directory. Name: Fat-Burning Man by Abel James: Real Food, Real Results. Feed URL: http://feeds.feedburner.com/FatBurningManPodcast Submissions may not be included in the directory for a variety of reasons. For more information, please see the podcast technical specification at http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/techspecs.html. Sincerely, The iTunes Store Team Um, what? Curious, I clicked iTunes show link and was presented with this: Crap. Then the flood of emails came. "WHERE'S YOUR SHOW?!?" Not only were my many thousands of listeners unable to listen, they couldn’t even find me on iTunes. My show was gone. Vanished. Kaput. I was shocked, befuddled, pissed. Gritting my teeth (and missing my football game), I wrote this: Hello, My podcast has hundreds of 5 star reviews and 100,000+ monthly listens and regularly ranks in the top 10 (and often #1) in health. Apple has featured my show on multiple occasions. Can you please help me understand what happened and how I can get my podcast resubmitted? Everything was fine and the podcast was doing very well until this morning when I received the email saying that it is no longer listed in the iTunes store for a reason yet unknown. If there is an issue with my content, my artwork, my feed, or anything else, please let me know and I will fix it immediately. Please let me know who I can e-mail/speak with to take care of this. Please call if it's more convenient - I'm at 512-###-####. Best Regards, Abel Ah, the saga begins... I appreciate Apple having a platform like a podcast to make it easier for little guys like me to bring my show to the masses. But over the next few days, Apple was NOT helpful. It's almost like they were TRYING not to help me. But they did throw me these gems: Abel, as I informed that podcast are removed on very rare occasion. I am sorry but I do not know why your podcast was removed from iTunes Store. I'm sorry, but the iTunes Store normally doesn't provide assistance by telephone. Thank you for your understanding and patience. Apple appreciates your business. I'm sure you do. I spoke with more than a half dozen Apple employees, all of whom claimed to know nothing about how to get my show back and said there wasn't anything I could do about it. Several Apple employees recommended I start over with a new show. I want to say thanks to the many fans who spammed Apple on Facebook, Twitter, and e-mail to get my show back. Some of you even started organizing a petition! You guys are amazing. It was a crappy experience to be sure, but your support, as always, is absolutely inspiring. So after more than 2 days of bombarding Apple with pissed off rants, my show mysteriously popped back up on iTunes. I lost my ranking in the top charts, but we’ll get them back.
