Summary: Frederick P. Ognibene, MD, FCCM, discusses his goals as the Society's president for 2007 as well as his decades-long involvement in SCCM and the critical care community. Dr. Ognibene is director of the office of clinical research training and medical education at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Center and the director of clinical research training program, OIR. He also is an attending in the medical intensive care unit at the NIH Clinical Center.
