Vampires: Myths and Legends

The Ænigma Project show

Summary: Tonight’s show started out pretty well. We announced that Robby was leaving the show and wish him the best! We had a lot of fun discussing vampires from different cultures and different mythos.  This subject seems to be ubiquitous in books, TV and movies these days. There is something romantic about the dark, tortured soul of an immortal being attempting to regain some semblance of his lost humanity through sacrifice and self denial.  For some reason, this speaks to the human condition and draws us in and fascinates us. Stories of vampires weave their way through the tapestry of our history and culture, whether it’s Dracula, Barnabas Collins, Vlad the Impaler or even Edward Cullen.  These dark creatures hold such an allure that there are people alive today that consider themselves vampires and live their lives as such, including the drinking of human blood.  It truly is fascinating to see how far these stories have led some. Oh and just one more word…Blackula! Paul
