Summary: This LWS looks into humanitarian protection issues arising in situations of violence at or below the threshold of armed conflict as defined in IHL. Applicable normative frameworks underlying armed conflict and other situations of violence were discussed. The discussion was moderated by Claude Bruderlein and Naz Modirzadeh.
