Summary: In today’s special TWiG interview we actually set aside sometime to talk about something rather serious…Cyberbullying. The city of Toronto has designated this week to bullying and this seemed like a rather timely opportunity to speak with Nicki Klinkhamer, the spokesperson for TrueCare, an organization dedicated to helping people understand the new cyberthreats of bullying via an online monitoring tool. Mike and Nikki talk at length about bullying, strategies and the brave new world that our young brothers and sisters face every day. Nicki Klinkhamer is passionate about educating parents on the many dangers that lurk online. She is a spokesperson for TrueCare and works closely with their team including technologists, law enforcement and family therapists to best understand the latest issues facing children as it relates to social media and the internet. She speaks with parents on a daily basis, educating them on the dangers of social media and non-monitored internet.
