Follow signs to the Loch Ard Gorge. Once at the carpark you will see the steps down to the beach. In 1878 the 2 survivors of the shipwrecked Loch Ard clipper sheltered in this bay overnight. In the morning, cabin boy Tom Pearce climbed these cliffs to reach safety and get help for the only other survivor, Eva Carmichael.
