Summary: The London Philharmonic Orchestra's Principal Conductor Vladimir Jurowski begins a cycle of Mahler symphonic works, and on 31 May performs Totenfeier, the early version of the 1st movement of his second symphony. Programmed with Mendelssohn and a new song cycle by Torsten Rasch, Vladimir talks about the links between the works, and the intriguing lyrics to Rasch's My Heart is on Fire.
