Summary: Bill Gorakh Hayashi is Professor of Humanities at Columbia College Chicago, a Liberal Arts college focusing on arts and media students. He teaches courses in Consciousness: Philosophy of Love, Mystical Consciousness: East and West, and Spirituality and Empowerment, the latter with his wife, Kiyomi, who offers hatha yoga in the course. He is also a practicing experiential psychotherapist and presents workshops in Meditation, Focusing and Creativity. Gorakh is a steward of the Aspen Grove and founder and advisor of Light-Circles, a student organization working with contemplative practices and soul-shift art. He and some students are co-creating Light-Groves.com, an alternative social networking site focusing on depth and authenticity of communication, "for a new kind of family." He has recently written pieces on Brother Wayne Teasdales' Inter-spiritual Vision and the preface for the 2nd edition of Michael Brown's Presence Process.
