Don't forget to stop by KoreanClass101.com for more great Korean Language Learning Resources! -------Lesson Dialog------- ----Korean---- 안녕하세요, 여러분. 오정은입니다. 저는 얼마 전에 친구와 옷을 사러 동대문이라는 곳에 갔습니다. 동대문은 사람들이 옷이나 신발 등을 많이 사러 가는 곳이에요. 그리고 동대문은 우리나라 보물 1호랍니다. 얼마 전에 남대문이 불에 타서 없어져 안타깝지만, 동대문은 남대문과 비슷한 모양으로 되어 있답니다. 그 날, 동대문에 가려고 집 앞에서 친구와 버스를 탔습니다. 버스 안에서 친구와 웃고 떠들면서 동대문으로 가고 있었죠. 웃고 떠들다 보니 어느새 버스가 동대문에 도착해서, 저희는 허겁지겁 버스에서 내렸습니다. 버스에서 내려서 옷을 파는 건물에 들어갔어요. 들어가서 옷 구경을 한참 동안 하다가 마음에 드는 옷을 발견했습니다. 그래서 옷 치수를 말하고, 입어 보고 마음에도 들고 괜찮아서, 돈을 내려고 가방에서 지갑을 꺼내려는데, 분명히 가방에 있어야 할 지갑이 없는 거예요. 그래서 가방 안을 다시 한 번 천천히 다 꺼내서 찾아 봤는데, 그래도 지갑은 없었어요. 그래서 친구와 왔던 길을 다시 가면서 지갑을 찾아다녔습니다. 그렇게 친구랑 한 시간 반 정도를 지갑을 찾으러 다녔지만, 지갑은 어디에서도 찾을 수 없었답니다. 저희는 할 수 없이 다시 집으로 돌아가는 버스를 탔습니다. 버스를 타고 한참 집에 가고 있는데, 친구가 자기 가방을 열고는 놀래는 거예요. 친구가 놀랬던 이유는 친구 가방에 제 지갑이 들어있었기 때문입니다! 지갑을 찾았다는 것은 기뻤는데, 순간 너무 황당한 기분이 들더군요. 친구한테 잠깐 제 지갑을 들고 있으라고 했는데, 친구는 지갑을 떨어뜨리고 싶지 않아서 가방에 잠깐 넣어둔 것이고, 두 사람 다 까맣게 잊고 있었던 거죠. 아휴... 옷도 못 사고, 고생만 하다가 집으로 돌아왔지만, 지갑이 없어지지 않아서 정말 다행이에요. 여러분도 이런 경험 한 적 있으세요? 그럼 다음 시간에 만나요. 감사합니다. And Dongdaemun is Korea's first national treasure. Recently, it was sad that Namdaemun was set on fire and now it is gone. But Dongdaemun is similar in shape as Namdaemun. I got on a bus to go to Dondaemun. I was talking and laughing in the bus with my friend. While we are busy talking, we arrive to Dongdaemun, and we got off the bus in a hurry. After getting off the bus, we went into a store to buy some clothes. My friend and I were shopping for a while and finally I found something that I like. I told the clerk my size and I even tried it too. I really liked it and I was going to pay for that cloth. But My wallet wasn't there. So I started to search my wallet in the bag and it wasn't there. My friend and I went over where we came by for over an hour, but we couldn't find the wallet. So we decided to get on the bus to head back home. While we are on the bus, my friend open her bag in surprise. Because my wallet was in her bag. I was happy to find my wallet but it was embarrassing. I told my friend to hold my wallet for a while in the bus and my friend didn't want to drop it so she put it in her bag and both of us forgot about it. Whewwww...I couldn't buy clothes and I had hard time looking for my wallet all day, but I was happy that I didn't lose my wallet. Do any of you have same experience as me?
