Secrets Of French Parenting With Pamela Druckerman

Speakers' Forum Podcast show

Summary: French kids don't throw their food. They don't throw tantrums in the supermarket or in the park. And their parents seemed a lot happier than their American counterparts. This was what journalist Pamela Druckerman observed when she moved to France in 2003. She has since raised a daughter and twin sons in Paris, and she writes about the differences between French and American parenting styles in her new book, "Bringing Up Bebe: One American Mother Discovers the Wisdom of French Parenting." Druckerman spoke at the Elliott Bay Book Company on March 5, 2012.
