Summary: The Los Angeles Angels have won 3 of their first 4 series this year and now sit at 7-5 on the season after defeating the Washington Nationals on Wednesday, 3-2! Griffin Canning pitched in a Major League game for the first time since July of 2021 after struggling with a back injury that kept him out for all of 2022. He pitched well in his first start back, but it became the Brett Phillips show as the fan-favorite outfielder got his first start of the year in center field.
