He's been compared to the “Quentin Tarantino” of Japan. He pushes the boundaries in cinema with his unyielding use of gore, violence and humor. Where most directors won't go he gladly will traipse with glee. Funny enough Taratino and Eli Roth are both huge fans. First of we tackle the David Lynchian Miike film known as “Gozu”. A mind adventure about a 2 yakuza gang members. One who's obviously lost his mind and the brother who is leading him to his death. When the crazy brother goes missing... A keleidiscope of nightmarish events take off. Chock full of odd and funny moments. THEN, we jump into a much more classic Miike film that probably stands at the top of over 100 Miike films made. That is none other than “Ichi The Killer”. About a young man who is emotionally unbalanced (Cries frequently when he fights) is manipulated by another to kill off a syndicate of Yakuza. Kakihara the most pain friendly and bat STUFF crazy welcomes the killers abuse to feel the love of beatings he once got from his now dead boss. It's a big one. ARE YOU FANS OF THESE MOVIES?
