He completed his Pediatric Residency training in 1999 from Advocate Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, IL. Dr. Shahid's entire 20 year career has focused on graduate medical education and academic pediatrics. He has an interest in emotional intelligence (EI) and has given several presentations and workshops on using EI skills to promote the development of resilience.
