Sarah Robles - It's Good to Be the Champ

The USA Weightlifting Podcast show

Summary: On this episode of the USA Weightlifting Podcast, we’ll be speaking with Sarah Robles. Presently, Sarah is the reigning IWF World Champion in the +90kg weight category (the first American to be named World Champion since Robin Byrd Goad in 1994). If that wasn’t enough, she also competed at the 2012 Olympic Games in London finishing in 6th place, earned a Bronze Medal at the 2016 Olympics in Rio, and most recently won the 2018 Pan American Championships in Santo Domingo (....let me catch my breath). In this episode we’ll be getting a closer look at the athlete behind all the medals as we dive into some of Sarah’s sleeping habits, lifting amongst Football players, the importance of positive self-talk, and most importantly of course, “Super Heavyweight problems”!
