Career, Entrepreneur & Business Advice with Marketing Expert, Blandine Jean-Paul | EP24

Dream Job Ready show

Summary:
Dream Job Ready Episode 24: Blandine Jean-Paul (Owner of B’Dynmanic Marketing Agency).

"Never look at an opportunity sideways. It could be your gateway to something else." That's the golden answer Blandine gave me when I asked her for advice for the next generation chasing dream jobs with the types of companies (ESPN, Diageo, Heineken, Hasbro & New York Knicks) she's worked with. Write that down!

Blandine and I first connected when she was working with ESPN and I was working with Rip Curl. She held Senior Director roles there for over 7 years and managed projects such as the ESPY Awards, MMA and Boxing, the New York City Marathon and Major League Baseball. Prior to ESPN she worked with the New York Knicks basketball organisation, Golden Books and TV Guide. Post ESPN she has had dream jobs with Diageo, Heineken, Hasbro and SmileDirectClub, before going out on her own and launching B’Dynmanic Marketing Agency in 2019.

"You might find yourself getting to a dream job by zig zagging, not via a straight line. Dream jobs are not built on straight lines."

More valuable advice and a precursor to the bulk of our discussion in this episode. We cover many of great topics, including how to successfully manage client relationships, how to be part of a great team, how to manage work and travel, job preparation advice, listening, defining motivation, working for underdog companies and why being happy is the most important thing in the world. Diverse but crucial!

You'll enjoy this episode...
