We've been told through folklore that 19 cars remained and 17 were sold into private hands in 1991, with Warner Brothers keeping the remaining two. The problem is....there's enough proof out there to indicate that when the series ended in 1985 that there may have been MORE than 19 General still alive....and that they may have found their way to other productions. This is our way too involved attempt at solving these mysteries once and for all. Plus....it's a great distraction from COVID-19.
