Summary: Today's spontaneous weekday afternoon adventure would take me up local-favorite Owl's Head just off route 73 between Lake Placid and Keene. This trail is closed on weekends so despite the 50mph wind gusts and fresh morning snow it was as good a time as any to visit this little Adirondack gem.
