207 - The Church Doesn’t Like Questions About Sexuality

Pastor With No Answers Podcast show

Summary: The church should be notorious for welcoming questions, having conversations without the short fuses and pretense, and allowing for environments where people are comfortable with being brutally honest.  Because supposedly, we’ve been rescued by love and “perfect love casts out fear,” right?  So what do we have to be afraid about? Today’s guest had questions about sexuality and him merely having these questions was not welcomed by his church.  So Jonathan Foster wrote a book about his experience entitled “Questions About Sexuality that Got Me Uninvited from My Denomination.”   The church, the gay community, more understanding, possible unity.  At the very least, can we have a conversation? keep up with J.
