ICS/IMT: When You're Comfortable With Your Event, Don't Be

Between the Slides show

Summary: In 2013 I completed the Texas A&M Engineering Extension (TEEX) MGT 404: Sports and Special Event Management course.  In Spring 2014 I was involved in a hot air balloon incident, not as a Plans Chief, as a passenger on a nearby balloon. In this episode I share the main topics presented in the MGT 404 course and provide my perspective as a former Incident Management practitioner and unwilling participant in an incident within an event.   Key Time Stamps: * 00:03:09 - Pubic safety hast to be involved in sport and special event planning * 00:10:45 - Noone is too special by patch, badge or logo to be involved * 00:18:05 - Are we doing personnel accountability reports (PAR) for event participants, e.g. balloon riders * 00:24:55 - Who's going to track the training progress from the improvement plan?   Thank you for listening and Godspeed, Kevin Kevin Pannell, PMP | www.betweentheslides.com | Instagram & Twitter: pannellkg | Facebook: Betweentheslides | Email: kp.bts.podcast@gmail.com | Blubrry directory: https://www.blubrry.com/betweentheslides/ #sports #specialevents #noegos #nosilos #familyassistancecenter #emergencymanagement #allhazards #GIS #ArcGIS #tracking #incidentcommand
