ICS/IMT: Accountability and the Resource Unit

Between the Slides show

Summary: If there is one unit to stand up during a critical incident beyond a Unified Command and Operations, it is the Resource Unit.  Why? Because the primary responsibility of this Unit is to provide personnel accountability for our brothers and sisters in the field.  During this episode I’ll share how I’ve seen Resource Units succeed and fail for both planned events and no notice incidents as these experiences relate to portions of the NIMS ICS All-Hazards Resources Unit Leader EMI Course Number: E-965. "Between the Slides 5" for this episode: * You have to know the process and forms.  Well. * In the field start with accountability.  The forms and the process can wait. * Accountability should not be limited by patches. * Be well versed in helping Operations use resources more efficiently. * If you helped get resources in, you should be part of getting them home safely.
