Training/Education: Combined Active Threat Response Program

Between the Slides show

Summary: The advantages of building and maintaining strong relationships between Emergency Management, Emergency Communications, Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS is critical.  This is especially true when training for and responding to no-notice incidents like an active threat (active shooter, active killer, etc.).  In this episode I share practices colleagues and I followed to train over 1,000 first responders as part of a combined active threat training and response program. "Between the Slides 5" for this episode: * Get approval from leadership early and keep them informed * Manage the effort like a project. It is one. * Build a team of subject matter experts and listen to them * Integrate proven practices like TCCC and the Hartford Consensus * Train together so you will respond together   Please take time to visit the show website and please also rate and leave a written review on iTunes.  If you're enjoying the show also consider subscribing.
