Summary: Flight crews are experts in emergency and critical care, crew resource management, and customer service. Despite being experts in their field, flight crews are terrible at adapting to change. This lecture will incorporate leadership philosophies and the speaker’s experience with two changes at his flight program – one major and one very minor – required a monumental effort to implement and get successful buy-in from the staff at the base.
