Summary: Things are looking pretty bleak for the Israelites with seemingly no help on the horizon and little hope as their enemies close in. However, as we study what they are going through in Psalm 44 we see they are trusting the Lord, remembering what He has done in the past and making their hearts right in preparation for their redemption.
