Social Psychology for People in a Hurry with Patrick Natili

Growth Mindset University show

Summary: Patrick Natili is a psychology student and 4-year scholar-athlete (cheerleading) at Florida Gulf Coast University who will soon pursue his master's degree. He also happens to be my best friend and the smartest guy I know (by far). We broke out the organic elderflower apple sparkling sake wine and went to town on a wide range of psychology topics, among other things, that most intrigue us. Our talking points include: + How to solve for social interactions the way you would solve a math problem (mathematics of sociability) + How to be friends with anyone + Suicide + Affluenza + Is the search for meaning a meaningless search? + Instagram/social media behavior types + Saturated stimuli + Upward and downward comparisions + Screen time limits + Trigger words and sentence framing + How most eating is sensation-seeking and we don't need to eat nearly as much as we do + Is moderation for the weak or is it a crucial component of life? + Self-serving biases + Love as a path + Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs + Cognitive dissonance Show us you're listening by taking a screenshot and tagging @PatSoIcey and @J_Paris_ Be a #GrowGiver by sharing this episode with those closest to you: JordanParisHealth.com/ep38 This episode is brought to you by TheWPRocketeer.com - Leave it to The WordPress Rocketeer to develop a website that looks, feels, and functions like that of a fortune 500 company.
