Yourself on Screen

Cinema For All Podcast show

Summary: The Cinema For All Podcast is a celebration of going to the cinema. In this fourth, full length episode Jaq and Abi chat about new film releases (Blindspotting, Skate Kitchen, Kusama: Infinity and A Star is Born) and delve into this month’s theme: seeing yourself on screen, in which we welcome the wonderful Delphine Lievens from Altitude Releasing to talk about films that have been important to her both now and when growing up, such as Ladybird, Ghostworld, Pariah, The Miseducation of Cameron Post, Creed, Ballast, Roots, Moonlight, Get Out, Fruitvale Station, Give Me the Loot and many more. We talk in depth about the importance of seeing characters and stories in which you feel represented, and how empowering that can be if you are from a community or a background largely underrepresented in modern media. Head to www.cinemaforall.org.uk/advice/podcast for pictures from recording/ Delphine day! This episode is supported Skate Kitchen, released by Modern Films.
