Minisode: Nae Pasaran! Interview with Felipe Bustos Sierra

Cinema For All Podcast show

Summary:   We have another minisode! Jaq and Producer Jay catch up with the director of the new documentary Nae Pasaran! and talk about storytelling, the parallels between journalism and filmmaking, and fighting fascism whilst eating porridge. Nae Pasaran! charts the incredible story of a group of factory workers in Scotland who refused to work on planes used by Pinochet’s brutal dictatorship over Chile. This was the longest international act of solidarity against the regime and proved to be hugely important. None of the workers really knew how much of an impact their protest had until Felipe (the son of an exiled Chilean journalist himself) decided to make the film. The Cinema For All podcast is proud to be supported by the BFI, awarding funds from the National Lottery.
