Summary: The opening of the new Salesforce Park atop the Transbay Transit Center means that San Franciscans don’t have to leave downtown area to get the Crissy Field lift: Images of urban misery that are part of the daily panorama are erased. The scenery is beautiful, and everyone seems in a good mood. Walking there one recent weekend, we were surrounded by urban adventurers relishing the site — and each other’s company — with the same delight that we were.
