Summary: Amos 'n' Andy was one of the most successful Old Time Radio Comedy programs lasting over 34 years. Freeman Gosden and Charles Correl starred as Amos Jones and Andrew H. Brown. Starting in 1926 and 1927 as the "Sam 'n' Henry" show, then renamed in 1928 as Amos 'n' Andy, they went on to incredible success and popularity. During the Great Depression, their audiences reached epic proportions in part due to their common, average Joe approach.
