EP 73: Bif Naked

Muses and Stuff Podcast show

Summary:

Chanty and Lynx chat with the one and only Bif Naked!

Getting to sit down with Canada’s Queen of Punk was such an immense pleasure! Bif has been kicking ass and breaking barriers for over two decades now, and recently shared her personal journey in her incredible memoir I, Bificus. We talk about Bif’s writing process (hand written?!), how the world opened up for her when she followed her heart and became a solo artist and how the industry is changing for women in music. We also talk about our shared love of being pet owners and the inspiration and love that comes with adopting a fur baby. We admire Bif for SO many reasons, one being her ability to turn what some may feel are negatives into positives. From her battle with breast cancer came a passion for volunteering and with menopause came an opportunity to discuss what was once swept under the rug. Once a trailblazer, always a trailblazer!!

We love Bif’s new single Hot Box Girls (check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyHdfunHwSk) and are so excited to hear more new music. If you don’t already follow Bif on social media you can find her on Twitter: @bifnaked & Instagram: @theoneandonlybifnaked & make sure to check out her facebook https://www.facebook.com/TheOneAndOnlyBif/ for upcoming shows!

You can check out her favourite animal rescue/ sanctuaries:

Wishing Well Sanctuary

Toronto Wildlife Centre

SAINTS Rescue

Thank you to Eric Alper and Canadian Music Week for making this magic happen!

You can find us on Twitter @chantyandlynx & on Instagram & Facebook @musesandstuffpodcast.
