Summary: We are starting a new monthly thing here at the 10 Minute Jazz Lesson Podcast. Every month, on the third episode of the month, we will learn a new piece of vocabulary over a commonly used chord progression. I'm taking a line that I believe I originally got from one of David Baker's bebop books and committing it to memory and learning it in all 12 keys. I'll show you the system I use in order to put lines in 12 keys fairly easily as well.<br> <br> The final step is inserting the line into a tune with many ii-V7-I progressions and that tune is Cherokee.
