Summary: <p>Foam, wool, and Microfiber polish pads are an essential part of the paint polishing process. But how are these things made? David Patterson from Lake Country gives us some interesting information on what the manufacturing process is! If you've used a machine polisher (whether its a porter cable, Rupes, FLEX, or Meguiers), then you have used some kind of pad. These pads, along with the proper compound, polish are the consumables needed to correct paint. Foam is the most popular option and comes in a wide variety of textures. Whereas microfiber will typically have a cutting pad and a polish pad. Wool is popular in Body shops and with rotary tools for quick cutting, and comes in a variety of styles as well.
