The Future Is Flexible

Summary: In our series premiere, we’ll talk about how technology has made it possible to radically restructure what the modern workplace looks like, and how making changes to how we work is one of the most effective ways we can make the tech industry welcoming to more people. I’ll start with Skillcrush’s story of going completely remote as a way to find our balance, and then talk to Annie Dean of Werk to get into the bigger picture around workplace flexibility—especially as it relates to advancing marginalized people in the tech world. Finally, we’ll come back to my own team, who will talk about the reality of remote work, including how they fight its biggest downside.
