Summary: John 2; 5 “His mother saith unto the servants, whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.” Within this scripture you will notice there is 90% of talking and 10% of doing. This means that there is a voice behind the speech. If you do not know the voice behind the speech you will not be able to do what he asks you to do. Before we can engage in doing the 10% we have to look at the 90%which is knowing or how to know the voice of God. How do I know the voice of God? Once you know the voice of God it gives you the confidence to do what he has asked you to do. John 10:27 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” You can only follow him when you know him. “The voice of the stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.” If you are going to do exploits, you have to know the voice of God. 4 things from this scripture: 1. you have to know that there is a God. 2. You have to know that this God communicates with man.3. You have to know that and can recognize his voice when he speaks. 4. You have to know that God has something to say. This means God has revealed himself to you and I and he wants us to know him. The most precious thing you will have as a Christian is to know the voice of God. The only way you can hear his voice is if you can have an intimate relationship with him. Many Christians don’t know Gods voice because there are in different places and different things. When God speaks they cannot hear God because there are so many voices going on. But once you know the voice of God, you know that this is God and you know that he cannot make a mistake.
