Many people know Mike from his active participation in Facebook groups devoted to edible wild plants and mushrooms, where he shares his insights and enthusiasm. Mike was an award-winning middle school science teacher for 35 years. His students had fun learning experimenting skills with wild foods. Decades of experience with wild edibles have made him invaluable as a technical editor as well as a field guide author. He has served as a technical editor on 10 books. His own field guide is now out.
