Summary: It can be challenging to practice Islam in America today. The bigotry, Islamophobia, xenophobia, media bias, and constant need to apologize for Muslim extremist actions can take its toll on us. Part of being an American Muslim is standing up for our beliefs and speaking truth to ignorance.
