Summary: We talk about one of the darkest times in Mormon history, when federal troops were on the march to replace Brigham Young as governor, Apostle Parley Pratt had just been murdered, and Mormons everywhere were preparing for war. Against this backdrop, a group of 140 emigrants were making their way from Arkansas to California when they were set upon by Mormons and slaughtered wholesale on the command of their local leaders.
