Summary: Film History on Videotape Podcast / Time Travel Movies / Review #225 / The Time Machine Did anybody really need this movie? 2002 brought a remake of the classic 1960 film The Time Machine to the big screen, and it stars Guy Pearce and Jeremy Irons in what alot of folks derided as so far from the source material that it wasnt worth the trouble. Its the classic tale of H.G. Welles using his hand built machine to get himself into wacky hijinks involving a lost love, an uber morlock, and alot of late 90's Hollywood tropes added to it.
