2015-02-07: ISIS’s Evil

Glen Meakem | Veteran Entrepreneur » Show show

Summary: This weekend, Glen talks about the latest Islamic State headlines, and President Obama’s “lead from behind” approach to foreign policy. Glen also talks with noted economist, Amity Shlaes (Author of the New York Times best selling books The Forgotten Man: A New History of the Great Depression and Coolidge) about the economic dangers of liberal tax, borrow, and spend policies.  History shows that when marginal tax rates are cut, the economy grows, private sector jobs are created, the amount of tax revenue to the treasury increases, and individuals are more prosperous. Glen talks with Dave Spigelmyer (President of Marcellus Shale Coalition) about the economic benefits of hydraulic fracturing and shale gas, and why the state of Pennsylvania should continue to allow drilling in state forests. Finally, Glen speaks with John Henne (of Henne Jewelers) about the importance of celebrating family and friends during Valentine’s Day.
