Summary: We recorded this for you a couple of weeks ago on our 12th wedding anniversary. In July 2002, Rob + I went to Cancun for our first vacation together. On the beach our first night under the moonlight he proposed to me. We thought we would get married a few months later in Florida on a beach somewhere. But, as our already planned vacation with our oldest sons drew near, we decided (at the last minute) to get married while we were down there. Just the four of us...no other family or friends. We had both already done the huge wedding thing the first go 'round and didn't want that again.A couple of weeks later we were staying in Clearwater Beach, FL and hunting for a place to get married. We checked out a number of different beaches, but finally came across Captain Memo's Pirate Cruises. Yep, we opted to get married pirate style. Arrrrrgh, matey! Twelve years later, after amazing successes, dismal failures, birth of our son together and the death of a parent, we are celebrating journeying into our 13th year together in Colorado Springs.
