Summary: Poulenc's one-woman opera, La voix humaine, was the final work of Rumanian soprano Virginia Zeani’s brilliant career. Using this as a sort of springboard, she speaks of subjects such as love, the parallels in her career, such as that of Maria Callas, her late husband Nicola Rossi-Lemeni, solitude and spirituality.
