They symbolize wealth and prosperity, and because of that they are not always properly cared for. Jeremy and his friends volunteered at Millennium Elephant Foundation. You'll hear about what its like to spend time every day working with the elephants and living in Sri Lanka. Jeremy stayed with a host family who cooked delicious meals everyday and took care of them. He jokingly referred to the mother of the family as "Host Mom" because she was so friendly and caring. He got to learn some of the language and took part in a Buddhist festival.
