Back2Us Show: Living After Loss with Dr. Renee Sunday

Back2Us Radio show

Summary: "When a loved one passes away, it’s not easy to hold yourself together. It doesn’t matter if you were prepared for it or not. If you knew it was going to happen or not. If it was inevitable or an accident. The fact is that the death of a dear one is the toughest experience you’ll face in life because you know the fact that the person you loved so much will never come back to you again." Dr. Renee Sunday, M.D. Two of the hardest days of my life were August 20, 2002 when I buried my youngest daughter and January 11, 2011 when my best friend buried her wife. The books and the counselors all said that grief would come in these neatly packaged "boxes" or "stages" and honestly I was expecting them to appear in the order that I often saw them listed.  What happened was something very different and honestly I still grieve in August and January. Today, we have the opportunity to talk with Dr. Renee Sunday who wrote the book on grief (no, really she did) about how do we overcome grief and how do we support friends and loved ones during their grief.  To learn more about Dr. Renee Sunday: http://www.sundaypublishingcompany.com/ To sign the petition for Kari's Law: http://change.org/karislaw To listen to the artist Mitch Rossell that was featured today: http://www.youtube.com/user/teleplayer68 To check out his website: http://www.mitchrossell.com/ and to purchase his music from iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/mitch-rossell/id295164942
